Maria's practice page
This is an example of what you can create by following the instructions in the Wikispaces Training Camp handout.
Robert's Introduction to Nepal
This is an example of a Multimedia Presentation "under construction" (being developed).
Multimedia presentations of a favorite place should contain the following components:
A map or maps, showing the location relative to places most people know.
Some photos, showing special places, people or things.
Text explanation for everything.
Most importantly for this class, recorded explanation or narration, which I will show you how to do using the "Audacity" software program.
Resources for developing presentations:
To find photos of your place, do a Google (or other) search for the name of the country or city + the word "images."
When you find an image you want, "right click" and select "download image" or "Save As" and give it a name so you can easily identify what it is.
A great website for finding free photos you can legally copy and use is
To insert a map image, do a Google (or other) search for the name of the country or city + the word "map." Download or save as above.
Be sure to write some text below each photograph or map to explain what it is.
